UGA Foundation Fellow Luke Hendrix to study biological science this fall
When not outside hunting, fishing, playing a round of basketball with friends or competing as a state-level varsity swimmer, Luke Hendrix has had his eye on a different prize: attending the University of Georgia, just like his dad. For Hendrix, the journey to graduation is about to become even more enriching — Hendrix has just been announced as one of the university’s newest Foundation Fellows.

Boren Awards names UGA a top-performing institution
With a record number of eight undergraduates selected as Boren Scholars this spring, the University of Georgia ranks third in the nation on the list of top-performing institutions for Boren Scholarships for 2022. These students will receive funding to study critical languages abroad in exchange for a year of federal service.

CAES double major Christian Albritton named UGA Student Employee of the Year
The University of Georgia’s annual Student Employee of the Year Awards Luncheon brought together 100 of UGA’s top student employees as determined by supervisor nomination. Christian Albritton, a third-year avian biology and biological science double major from Butler, Georgia, was selected as the 2022 Student Employee of the Year thanks to his work with Georgia 4-H.

UGA to host second annual Georgia Precision Poultry Farming Conference May 3
The University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences will host the second annual Georgia Precision Poultry Farming Conference via Zoom May 3. The $40 registration fee is waived for students, but registration — open until May 1 — is required for all participants.
