UGA dedicates new Poultry Science Building
A new home for the University of Georgia’s next generation of poultry scientists and industry leaders officially opened its doors on Oct. 6 as the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences dedicated its new Poultry Science Building. “The University of Georgia is a land-grant institution that serves our entire state through teaching, research and service, and UGA’s strong relationship with the poultry industry exemplifies this land-grant mission,” President Jere W. Morehead said.
Each year, hundreds of international researchers — from master’s degree students to academic faculty — apply to come to the University of Georgia to work in a wide range of academic fields. CAES News

In the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, dozens of international research scholars work with faculty on important research that furthers the CAES mission while benefiting visiting scholars.

UGA three-year fundraising average hits record $235.1 million
Donors have long been a powerful source of progress at the University of Georgia, and the past year was no exception. Private donations to UGA in fiscal year 2023 reached $242.8 million, the second-highest fundraising total in the university’s history. Fiscal year 2023 donations created 16 faculty positions, 150+ scholarships and 300+ endowed funds.

Three graduates of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences are among the University of Georgia Alumni Association's 40 Under 40 Class of 2023. Among the young alumni addressing the world’s most critical issues, leading businesses and serving their communities are three honorees from CAES: a community advocate, a veterinarian and an obstetrician providing women’s health care in rural Georgia.
