The first annual UGA Collegiate FFA Alumni & Supporters, Blue and Gold Run for the Dawgs 5K, will be taking place at the University of Georgia Golf Course just off of College Station Road in Athens, GA. This is a family friendly event that is fun for all ages! Vendors will be set up, prizes will be given to the top finishers in each age group, and two grand prizes will be given to our top male and female finishers. All pre-registrants are guaranteed an official race t-shirt and gift bag. All proceeds from the race will go to benefit both UGA Collegiate FFA Alumni and Supporters and the Georgia FFA Foundation. Registration opens at 6:30 a.m., race begins at 8:00 a.m.

Join garden staff and volunteers for this creepy, crawly, and definitely fun family festival. Discovery stations, roach and beetle races, an insect café, puppet shows, performances and, of course, lots of live insects will be at this event. At 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. we will host our annual butterfly release on the lawn of the International Garden (please note there will be two butterfly releases). Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to view dozens of native butterflies flap their wings above your head. Insect-ival is sponsored by the State Botanical Garden of Georgia, UGA Lund Club, UGA Department of Entomology and Georgia Museum of Natural History. Pre-registration is not required. $5 per person, $20 per Family/ Children 2 & under Free
